When people are ill with Depression here these days, no one calls it that. It has been, by popular demand, renamed: A Stress-Related Illness. That's what doctors write on sick notes for employers now. I'm not sure why. It's also a pain, because Depression is a real illness. I'm not sure WHAT A Stress-Related Illness is. Can anyone explain this move to rename Depression?
Anyway - I DO NOT have Depression. But I seem to have a stress-related disorder, that of compulsive displacement activity. This is quite possibly the busiest week of the last 5 years for me and what am I doing? Fiddling around with my blog.
On the list of priorities which I have written down here beside me at my desk (all of which desperately needed doing by yesterday at the very latest) including,
Obtain an actual birth certificate for the child you squeezed out of yourself fifteen years ago
Phone Pastor with song list,
Get passport photos of Jack
Listen to Grace's solo
Make sure the right lights are booked for Saturday etc
'Fiddle with your blog' is nowhere to be found.
I think I am in the grip of Full-Blown Stress-Related Activity Displacement Disorder or FBSRADD as it's handily referred to. Is there a coloured ribbon for that?

LOL Dorothy, I have frequently suffered from this and I think I have finally found the diagnosis for Kaikora! This is EXACTLY what he has - do anything but what you are supposed to be doing!
The new template is beautiful and seems quite right for a blog from England. But my eyes that suffer from advanced middle aging, can't read the blue text.. help!!!

I've lost my list. It was full of similarly urgent/beyond urgent Things To Do, and I'm ALMOST sure, 'Go and Look at Dorothy's blog' wasn't on there....
Okay, now I can see the blue text (blue is my favorite color). I do need new glasses; just haven't gotten around to getting an eye exam for a new Rx.
Well, the blog does look very nice :). And FBSRADD does indeed have a coloured ribbon - a rose-coloured one, as in rose-coloured spectacles. It seems you subconsciously realised that when choosing the new template.
I'd say that would have to be the multi-colored ribbon with polka dots and stripes running through it - and it will definitely be frayed at the edges!!

LOL - at least you got a pretty new look on the blog. I really should take the time to click through all the categories...there are so many darling choices.
fiddling with the blog is a stress relieve for me.. much the same as cleaning out a closet if the truth be known... ANYTHING that I can do and see QUICK results really helps give me some down time to ponder different things I need to get done and then I can moveon to those after I have finished a quick something or other.
