Fighting the government

Fighting the government is hard work.

I was hoping for a summer in the hammock, though that was always going to be more of a dream than a reality. A summer of cleaning, organising paper and painting woodwork would have at least made a change from my academic year of driving, teaching and printing out past IGCSE exam papers.

Embattled english home educators have found support in an unexpected quarter, however. An unelected member of the House of Lords. Only involved in the legislative process by virtue of the fact that his mother died. Before his ilk are removed completely from the upper house, he is working hard.
