W stands up to work. Don't you think that's weird, everyone? LOL!Meanwhile my lot were at the new British Library.
It wasn't Jack's favourite museum in the whole world, though. They saw a copy of the Lindesfarne Gospels, the first printing of the Gutenburg Bible, a copy of the Ramayana in Sanskrit, the earliest surviving map of America, a Penny Red, the world's first postage stamp, handwritten letters and manuscripts galore!
Plus the odd piece of sculpture.
'Yeah, there were some books and stuff. Something written by some famous bloke.'
Realising he was not winning this, Jamie took them off to The Wellcome Museum of Medical History. There was a display of skeletons dug up around London, dating from ancient times to more recently, with explanations of what they had died from. That was somewhat more appealing, I gather.
Then it was time for the BBQ. W and V put on a great BBQ, if you ever have an invite, snatch it up!
Grace and I are so happy because they had 'squeaky cheese'. Grilled, marinaded Greek Halloumi. Yum!
Yay! It was a good day, catching up with our friends and doing a bit of sightseeing or scrapbooking too!

I love the photo of you and Grace together. Very sweet!
Jack may not have liked the first museum, but now you have me wanting to visit it! I wonder what I can see online... :)
It sounds like it was a wonderful visit. And, such great photos! How do you change the photo in your header? I need to learn to do that!
(And, in defense of your friend, I alternate standing and sitting to work when I scrap with paper. Standers, unite! lol)
Cool new photo in the blog header! It was great seeing you all and standing up to work seems perfectly normal to me..... :)
Yvonne,
Thanks! And also for your unpublishable comment the other day. LOL!
Stephanie,
Go to 'customise' in the header bar and you can do all sorts of thinsg to your blog!
Mrs W,
Just teasing. Whatever works for you! {g} It was good to talk the other day!
Sounds like quite a variety of activities for one day! Glad you were able to fit in some scrapbooking.
What fun for all.
Really love the photo of you and Grace. She has the cutest dimples.
Lovely pic of you and G.
Dorothy,
I hope you print and frame that charming pic of you and Grace.
BTW, I also stand while scrapbooking. It's the only way to have proper perspective of the page I'm building! And I can step to the side and use my handy-dandy paper cutter, or step to the other side and sort through my huge paper supply. You must share with W that she's not the only standing scrapper:)
wow sounds like a fun busy day.. I want to come to W's bbq... oh and your daughter is beautiful.. I love her smile!!
Here's another stand-up scrapper. :^) Otherwise, I'd be jumping up and down going to the paper cutter, looking for cardstock, going through stamp sets, picking out ink colors. I usually only sit to scrapbook if I'm at a crop at a store.
I love squeaky cheese, too! Delicious!!!
And the photo of you and your daughter is simply beautiful - because both of you are beautiful!
I'd love to see both museums. You are making me REALLY want to hop the pond for a visit, Dorothy!
