Life-songs

We have a prayer meeting for L I F E - S O N G S tonight.

We want to let people know about the plans we have for the new year, the musicians we want to be involved, to update them on the interest from a local minister and the encouragement we've had from various people, including a university teacher on Missional Theology. {g} And then we need to pray, for our group's safety, for our success, for our reputations and for continued donations to allow the work to happen.

We're nervous. It's hard to be bold when you have a, me (a history of anxiety and depression )and b, Jamie (a problem with way too much humility and self-esteem issues) leading this ministry. It's amazing how God chooses to use people who are broken and inadequate though to accomplish stuff. In fact, if He wasn't, you know, God, you'd have to doubt the wisdom of that! We'll see, I guess.

If you are reading this, and you pray, now would be a good time to do so! LOL!

well I'll be praying for you. But hey, I'm pretty inadequate at praying right now.
You're right, He makes some weird choices. Infallible, obviously, but weird, all the same.

Isn't that the truth. The meek shall inherit the earth! Praying for the strength and grace to overcome obstacles through Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.

Praying, Dorothy! I'm sure God has great things planned for this. I can't wait to see how it turns out.

Dorothy - I've been praying for you and your dear family often - just haven't had time for blog reading....but your comment about our inadequacies struck a chord with what I've been thinking lately as well. I fell down right inadequate for several recent roles....and yet I keep hearing from others, in my prayer time...that it's HIS GRACE...and HE can shine when I'm out of my depth. Praying.
