Coldest Winter for 20 Years

Apparently, another extreme season for Britain's weather: the coldest for 20 years. Of course, it doesn't seem that way to me, having spent several of those winters in Ontario. {g} But everything shuts down for 6 inches of snow here. The country is running out of salt. {g}

Grace enjoys looking at it, but would rather be looking at it from inside, I think.
This narcissus is happy to be inside too.
Spring is coming!

My older sister emailed me the other day with her tales of woe out of London. She is not accustomed to not having the city take care of the snow! LOL, she understood why, but she was still fussing about having to walk the children to school which is a 45 minute walk. I think I would have just kept them home.

She said she did manage to get the last snow shovel at the store. The manager had held one for her because they sold out right away. Her car is stuck in the snow, and she is unable to move down the street.

I suggested she take the children to school on a sled, but she was not amused. She has already slipped a few times onto her bum on the icy streets.

Hope you all thaw out soon, although it looks like you are making the best of it.

Everything would shut down here, too, with 6" of snow - probably with 2" of snow! LOL!

We're in Hawaii right now and the locals have told us this is the coldest weather they've had in YEARS! It's in the low 70's and quite windy... still better than the snowy sub zero weather we escaped, but we had hoped for warmer weather.
