10th-12th Days of Christmas

On the 10th Day of Christmas, Jamie went to a Men's Breakfast at church and later on took 3 friends of Jack's out for a film and a meal. And Jack too, of course. Otherwise that would just have been weird.{g} This was one of the things Jack is doing this week to celebrate his birthday. I always feel as though he's short-changed by the proximinity of his birthday to Christmas, so we tend to stretch it out a bit.

The 11th Day of Christmas and we saw lots of new and old friends at church, where Jamie was playing bass and Grace was singing. The rest of Sunday, Jamie and I worked hard on life-Songs matters, including the best bit: planning which songs the band will play at the concert at the end of the month.

The 12th Day of Christmas, time to gather up Christmas and pack it away in the loft. I actually made an Advent box up this time, with all the things I need quite early in the season. The other boxes got labelled properly for the first time, so I'll actually be able to find what I need when I need it. After 52 Christmases, it seems I'm getting organized at last.{g}Later, after wrestling the dry tree out the door, ready for chopping up for the collection tomorrow, we headed out to the gym.

Oh yes.
You read that right.

I worked it out and we've each put on a whole butternut squash's worth of extra weight over Christmas. LOL! A large one.

My boy, born in an Ontario blizzard 15 years ago.
My girl, so willing to work out with her old mum. Bless her.
And an extra treat. On 12th Night, it had snowed. Just a little.
But enough for this romantic heart.

Isn't it BRILL having snow?!
Blooming cold though, especially since I've got to go out to Guides tonight!
Where's the photo of you at the gym, Dorothy?
(anyone know how to do an innocent, wide eyed smiley thing?)

WOW. You have gotten organized! How nice to have everything labeled so they'll be easy to find next year!
