One of the culprits is this:
Life-Songs 2
This is consuming us at the moment. The organisational details are endless.
The other thing which is weighing on me very heavily is all the arrangements for exam entry for Jack this summer which need to have been completed, like, yesterday. The lack of a recognisable Birth Certificate from Ontario is driving me mad. No one from Ont will call me back or even email and I can't get either of his passports renewed in time. I'm pleading for the exam boards and centres to have pity of me and not think I smuggled Jack out of Canada illegally or anything.
Also, now we're doing a lot of the music at the new church, that's eating up lots of time with rehearsals, emails, co-ordinating things with the leadership team. The leadership of the church have organised a potluck lunch and 'Vision discussion' on the topic of Worship (music) for the whole church and want our input. That's great and we'd be happy to prepare something they can get their teeth into, but they've kindly arranged it for this Sunday, the day after the concert we are producing. {g}
No peace for the Wicked.
As they say.
And apparently, we've been very, very wicked.
The local paper wanted a photo of Jamie for the article they are running this week about Life-Songs 2. He told me to take one of him and Grace to offset his 'tired cragginess'. And enormous forehead, which thankfully she has not inherited. {vbg} This was the best I could come up with. I guess it's all down to the paper if they want to use it or not.
We'll see.

I couldn't detach Grace from the pink thing in her hair. I think it came free in a Barbie magazine when she was 6. She thinks it's high vogue.
But then what do I know? I couldn't even get a Birth Certificate for my son, Born In A Blizzard.

I like the picture. Good luck getting the birth certificate issues worked out. Reminds me I need to order a birth certificate for Esther so that I can get the process going to get her a passport so that some time (next year?) we can make it over to visit my parents in Austria. In California I have to get a special form notarized before I can even order the birth certificate...
Great photo! I rather like the pink bit in her hair. :) It sounds like things are going wonderfully for you! I'm so glad! I can't wait to hear how the next concert goes.
The photo is great. Don't most papers just use B&W photos? No one will even notice the pink thing, but I sort of liked it. ;-) I'll be praying all goes well.
I like the pink hair thing (I guess I would).
Do you have anyone in Canada who can work on this birth certificate problem. We are only about 4-5 hours from the border. We could drive to Montreal but not in a blizzard VBG. I don't suppose someone who is not his Mum showing up on his Mum's behalf would work?
Hi Jodi,
Thanks for the offer of help. A friend from Canada called me, with her children's birth certificates in her hands and we compared the thing I have with what she has and what I have is NOT a birth certificate, though I do remember being told at the time that it was all I'd get and was clearly sufficient to obtain both his UK and Canadian pasports.
So, I have to apply (online) for a proper BC and renew his passports, which will all take months and meantime his exam entries had to be in by this week.
Now I'm praying that the exam boards will accept the identity documentation I actually have so that he can sit these public exams in May.
Praying that it all works out so he can take the exams in May.
WOW. You have been BUSY! I need a whole day to recover from a weekend of church services (LOL). I think I'd need a week to recover from a life-songs concert >VBG>! You must have some kind of energy!
