1. Wrapping paper or gift bags?
Paper. Though I prefer to receive actual gifts.
2. Real tree or artificial?
Always real, even though it usually means re-mortgaging the house or selling a child in order to afford one.
3. When do you put up the tree?
Usually around 15-21st Dec.
4. When do you take the tree down?
Epiphany (Jan 6th) It's the old 12 days of Christmas thing.
5. Do you like eggnog?
It's not a British thing so we don't have it here. I saw it when we lived in Canada and it looked disgusting, so never tried it. Our equivalent would be mulled red wine. Now you're talking!
6. Favorite gift received as a child?
A blue and white bunny, hand-knitted by my mother. I always treasure home-made gifts above shop-bought ones.
7. Do you have a nativity scene?
Yes, a small one. We call it a 'crib' and it'll be up on top of the piano just as soon as I can send someone into the loft to find it!
8. Hardest person to buy for?
Jamie, because a) he's a bloke and b) he always says he doesn't need anything.
9. Easiest person to buy for?
Grace. As long as it's cheap jewelery, clothes or music, she is happy.
10. Worst Christmas gift you ever received?
Probably a money belt, given to me when we were absolutely destitute and about to lose our home. And no, this was not an ironic or 'gag' gift, but one born out of complete denial in the sender.
11. Mail or email Christmas Cards?
Still attempting to mail some this year. Failed miserably last year.
12. Favorite Christmas Movie?
A very old b/w A Christmas Carol with Alistair Sim.
13. When do you start shopping for Christmas ?
AAAAAaaaarrgh! I knew I'd forgotten something!
14. Have you ever recycled a Christmas present?
Yes. We were destitute.
15. Favorite thing to eat at Christmas?
The Christmas Feast on Christmas afternoon just before the Queens' Speech. All of it. Especially the bread sauce.
16. Clear lights or colored on the trees?
Clear. Coloured ones just look as though they are trying too hard.
17. Favorite Christmas song?
O Come, O Come Immanuel. Yes, technically, this is an Advent song.
18. Travel at Christmas or stay home?
Stay home
19. Can you name all of Santa's reindeer?
Probably. How long have you got?
20. Angel on the tree top or a star?
Angel. It's broken but we still love it.
21. Open the presents Christmas Eve or morning?
Pj's and a book on Christmas Eve. The rest VERY early in the morning on Christmas Day.
22. Most annoying thing about this time of year?
The lack of TIME. There's always so much more I wish I could do!
23. What I love most about Christmas?
It's the anniversary of our conversion to Christianity.
24. Most difficult thing about Christmas?
Not being able to share it with extended family.
25. Favourite Christmas Tradition?
Going to church on Christmas morning and singing, at the top of my voice, the verse from O Come All Ye Faithful about Jesus being 'born this happy morning!' Brings a lump to my throat every year.
I'm not going to tag anyone, but if you want to grab this and add it to your blog, consider yourself tagged!

I'm glad to see that you are feeling better! It's been a rough year for illness. My voice is still froggy from this last thing we caught. Makes it hard on the kids when I'm singing in the car.LOL
I'm a middle of the road homeschooler myself. Not too much book work, not too little. I do like to start the kids early though. I know many like to wait but I've found for my kids, it breeds laziness.lol
I did it :)
Advent song or not, I picked the same song.
Fun answers.
FUN LIST! You should really try the eggnog sometime. We like to use ours to make french toast!
