Some stuff we've been doing:
Lots of Maths. Trying to get Jack caught up. Trying to remind Grace how to do long multiplication. Again. Frustrating.
Visits with friends, here and there. Nice and relaxing.
Emergency church meeting. Whatever the opposite of 'nice and relaxing' is.
Trying to get someone who booked a Home Ed activity with me last October to pay for the amount her cheque bounced for. I've been on the receiving end of some vicious emails from this couple who still have not paid up. Unpleasant.
Booking some more kayaking, beginner sailing lessons and other outdoor fun for the kids. It will be so good to be doing outside activities again! Exciting.
Driving half way around the country to pick up a friend of the kids, who is staying with us right now. Tiring.
Waiting for the kids yesterday whilst they did stuff in town. Boring.
Trying to avoid spending money in town. Unsuccessful.
Watching the movie Step Up 2 The Streets with three teenagers. I feel all 'street' now. I greeted Jamie later with a knuckle thing and exclaimed Whassup! when we picked him up. Grace, who had given me a stern warning about not embarrassing her when Beccy was here, gave me a filthy look. She's good at those. Anyway, I tapped my feet through the whole movie and left on a high. Exhilarating.
Ate lots of peanut m'n'm's after the church meeting. Guilt-inducing.
Putting together Sunday's service. We need to try to bring this weary fellowship into God's presence and help them to praise Him in the storm. Satisfying.
Lots of praying. Asking for God's help. Rebuking the evil one. Overcoming anxiety. Improving.
