Kayaking Season Has Started!

I organised another season of kayak lessons for a group of home-educators again this summer. Pete, the instructor, manages the chaos at the equipment store.

The girls will demonstrate the proper way to carry your boats to the lake.
And Jack will now demonstrate the correct way to wear your buoyancy aid.

He's a natural leader, you'll notice.

Ah yes, teenaged boys are fun!

Grace, executing an excellent turn there.

Below is a shot taken for Jack's ASDAN Portfolio of Evidence. ASDAN is a scheme of work that some home-educators use to acquire qualifications. Unfortunately, he has taken to referring, in public, to his ASDAN as his ASBO. (Anti-Social Behaviour Order, which is issued by the Police to persistent youth miscreants).

As in:'Not more pictures for my ASBO, Mum! Haven't you got enough yet?'

Heads in the nearby outdoor cafe, filled with mums and babies, quickly turned towards us.

I'm going to have to exact a sweet revenge. Possibly involving reminiscing about his potty training in front of his friends.

With photos.

Maybe a mini book of his achievements would be a good revenge....

Still thinking and praying for you!
