Cardiff Exhibitions

On our way Out west, we stopped in Cardiff for one night. The one dry day of the whole holiday. We stayed at the YHA again, dropped our stuff and drove off to the National Museum of Wales, which is in the university area.

A nice building, which reminded me of the British Museum in London.
Only it wasn't nearly as good. The History of Wales exhibit seems to consist of an explanation of geological time, 'How Wales Was Made', lots about rocks, lots of fossils, this guy etc:
I was personally hoping for more from historical time, Welsh life in the last 2,000 years or so, so it was disappointing.
Then we nipped over to the Cardiff Bay area, where there was a Dr Who exhibition in one of the huge malls there.Jack and Grace went in while Jamie and I sipped our cappuccinos in an indoor Italian piazza-style mall. Jack took photos while Grace posed with various enemies of humankind.A previous Doctor Who.
The Doctor's means of Transport.
Not sure why Jack took this one. Trying to make her look somehow other-worldly?And K9.
What is Cardiff's fascination with Doctor Who?
It's all filmed here. LOL!

Oh, Dorothy, I would love to see some of the new Dr. Who shows. I loved it many, many years ago, when Tom Baker was DW. What fun.

I'm sorry your holiday wasn't the greatest, with the weather and all, but I hope you had a good time anyway.

Great perspective on that Grace pic!

Dr. Who? I must be thinking of Dr. No and James Bond? I don't know Dr. Who...(seriously). Could it be that I'm actually too YOUNG for something? In that case, bless you, bless Debbie.

(ducking)

Splendid bridge pic too!

Kristine,

Dr Who was on tv when I was a kid and every decade since has thrown up a new version. It's a kids' sci-fi series. The current one is a massive hit.
