A Weekend OFF! Yay!

In case anyone's wondering, our family computer finally expired last week and we are using the back-up, kids' computer, temporarily. I can't do any work on this one for my books business or put any pictures up since all that is on my old computer.

Fortunately, Jamie's boss believes that since Jamie does On Call Support from home some weekends that we needs a new computer and one is on order for us! Thank goodness. Our old one was, well, very old and clunky and took ages to think about every instruction we gave it. I'm looking forward to using something less decrepit!

I'm not sure how much blogging I'll be doing until all this is straightened out. I don't really like to read blogs without pictures, so I'm assuming you all feel the same way!{g}

We're right in the middle of our first weekend OFF (no work, On Call, church duties, visitors or anything!) for months! Jack, Jamie and I have been enjoying the freedom. Grace has found it very hard and has been in a foul mood all weekend so far. The lack of routine and confused expectations has really upset her.{sigh} Life must be so tough when you have ASD.

We're not going to morning church, only evening church today. We hope to go out for a walk somewhere to enjoy the autumn scenery, but right now it's very misty, so I'm not sure we'll see anything much. Season of Mists and Mellow Fruitfulness and all that.

I also plan on not cooking as we have plenty of leftovers from our Shabbat meal last night. Yippee! AND I plan on beating several people at Carcassonne. Mind you, I had that same plan yesterday and it didn't quite work out that way! {g}

Have a wonderful Lord's Day, everyone!

What a blessing to get a new computer from Jamie's work! Why are you having months off? That sounds good to me, too, though. I'm in the "survive until Christmas is over" mode!

So glad a new computer is on the way. And, I hope you really enjoyed your day "off." We have 2 weekends "off" each month - as far as off from weekend worship and it sure is a nice break. We LOVE playing in the worship band, but it is nice to have a break to refresh yourself.

Yippeeeee about a new computer.

I too prefer blogs with pictures but I read this! I'm sure we'll all keep up with your blog even while waiting for your new one.
