The Goose is Getting Fat!

Christmas.
{gulp}

This does seem to keep coming up. And it does seem to be happening in December again, despite my protestations that it could really wait until February, so I'd have more time.

The kids have been compiling lists of their desires from which we may choose gifts to give them. The church is making plans which, awkwardly for us, do seem to involve a lot of music. And Cynthia at
Life Is Good has been trying to get me organised. So, I'm doomed. I'd better roll my sleeves up. {g}

I've been using
Organized Christmas to help keep me on track for years and it IS good. But, I think that now I'm so used to the pages and the prompts that I'm immune to them. I look at the planner telling me to go and check the outdoor lights or whatever and I think, 'Yeah, yeah, stop nagging.' It says, write your Christmas letter now! And I'm like, 'You're not the boss of me!'

Because I'm like that. And that's the reason I didn't get a letter out last year. Or photos. Or cards. And I still have one extended family member not speaking to me over that omission.

Over at
Choosing Joy DeEtta had mentioned a new, Christian, Christmas Planner which included a Jesse Tree book. I've been meaning to do a Jesse Tree for years! Cynthia harassed me, I mean nudged me, into getting started on Christmas so I thought I'd give it a go. I bought and downloaded the ebook. $12.95. That's dollars not pounds. Which makes it a good deal. At 146 pages, it's quite a desktop publishing venture, so make sure you've enough ink before you start.

I'm pleased though. I definitely love the Christian focus. And the Jesse Tree Devotionals. The planner and the recipes are useful too. I'm hopeful this means I will actually stay on the straight and narrow this year!

The planner is nice, isn't it? I really like the Jesse Tree decorations.

Unfortunately, a few of my pages jammed in my printer during the massive job and now I can't get the PFD file to print JUST THOSE PAGES....still trying to figure that out.....but at least I have the planner and I'm thinking. LOL

It sounds like a great planner but I'm going to stay in denial about Christmas for at least a few more weeks!

I never get around to printing out all of those things so I'll just keep looking at the Organized Christmas website and I'll keep harassing you whenever it crosses my mind (LOL)!
