Chatsworth House

These are the last pictures from Derbyshire. I promise you. It's just that I had a new camera and took 45,607 photographs while I was there. Approximately. And I still couldn't get the hang of all the bells and whistles on this camera.

We parked at Chatsworth, to walk around the grounds, but didn't pay to look around the inside of the house. All stately homes are alike. Once you've seen one 12 foot chandelier, you've seen them all really.

Nice views though.

I think I might agree with one of Jane Austen's characters who stated, 'There is not a finer county in England than Derbyshire.'

I am very disappointed. Why are there no pictures of Jamie emerging from the lake in a wet shirt, Mr Darcy style? Imagine visiting Pemberley and letting that photo opportunity slip by!

{Gulp} Kathryn!

That would mean I'd have to wear a really tight corset though, wouldn't it?

Oh, I love the picture of the 3 of them.

What we REALLY need here is some sort of audio pronunciation guide, so we can figure out how to say all these place names.

I'm thinking Derbyshire to an Englishwoman is maybe not the same as with an Oklahoma accent.
