AFTER going the wrong way.
Lots of lovely yellow Cotswold stone in the largely Georgian buildings.
This is the front of the tiny town theatre.
The Laburnum is flowering just now. The cottage behind is pretty typical of this area.
A Blue Plaque. There are quite a few of these dotted around Oxfordshire and LOTS in London.
Part of the town centre. It was impossible to take pictures of the town without huge expanses of road in the foreground. I think Chipping Norton needs a by-pass!
Who's that handsome chap? I LOVE wisteria.
Excellent. Time for tea! The kids had hot chocolate.
I'm not sure Chipping Norton is justified as being known as a tourist town. I think the Chiltern Hills have more to offer than this area. Green rolling hills, chalk steams and ancient beech forests. Few tourists. Oh well. It was good to go out for the day!

Ahhhh you changed your blog again and I didn't recognize it! Phew it is your blog when I look more closely and that was a nice trip to Chipping Norton.
LOVE your new blog format! Your trip looks wonderful. We too have a bad track record for visiting the obvious and nearby places. The wisteria is absolutely lovely. :)
Thanks for sharing your outing with us. I love the photos.
OH - the new banner photo is great too!
Another field trip with Dorothy and her family! Hooray! Although, is anyone else sad that Betty Puddles didn't come along? Sniff, sniff. I miss her witty commentary.
Hi Kathy, Betty has now arrived safely home in NH. So you'll have to look out on Jodi's blog for her wit now.
I thought she was rather pompous, myself!{g}
Dorothy
