Update on Pastor's Wife

Our pastor and his wife were riding a motorcycle near here last week. It was his birthday and it was a present. The were overtaking a car when another car came out of no where and hit them. He had little chance of avoiding it.

They were both air-lifted to the city hospital. Richard was discharged the same day but Annabel remains in a serious condition. She has facial injuries (yes, they were both wearing proper helmets), a fractured vertebra and clearly her brain has been affected as she has not regained consciousness, though the MRI results were good.

It has been a week since the accident and she is still not awake. I just pray that, however deep in her unconscious mind, she is aware of the presence of God. She has been 'trying to' open her eyes and has needed ventilation. The news yesterday was that she seems to be starting an infection of some sort as her temperature is raised. Please pray for her and their family.

Dorothy,
Thanks for updating us. I'm sorry to hear that her condition is still so unsure.

Also, did you change blog designs or is it just looking different on my computer today?

Oh, Dorothy. I had so hoped she was doing better than this. What a tragedy. Is this church the little one or the big one (not sure if you've already mentioned that)?

Kathy, This is the small local Baptist fellowship.

She came off the ventilator yesterday and seems somewhat more responsive. It's a moment by moment thing though.
